SASSA Will Take Solutions to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it can be alarmed regarding the higher number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme click here [ICROP] is to reach-out into a higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The provider point developed for intervention experiences a large influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tough for your office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to allow the servicing of all consumers and enhance use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
